U.S. President Donald Trump’s social media platform, Truth Social, has officially filed an application with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for a Bitcoin and Ethereum-based ETF.
Submitted on June 16, the S-1 form outlines the creation of the “Truth Social Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF,” which aims to offer investors exposure to both major cryptocurrencies through a single financial instrument. The fund will be sponsored by Yorkville America Digital, LLC.
While Trump was previously known for his skeptical stance on cryptocurrencies, this move signals a major shift in his approach to digital assets. The dual BTC and ETH structure of the proposed ETF is being interpreted as a direct endorsement of the two leading crypto assets from the highest level of U.S. leadership. The crypto market is now closely watching how investors will respond to this unexpected development.
