YouTube Offers U.S. Creators a Stablecoin Payout Option

YouTube’s decision to let U.S.-based creators receive payouts in PYUSD highlights how stablecoins are becoming a more visible part of the digital economy.

According to Fortune, YouTube now allows eligible creators in the United States to opt for payouts in PayPal’s dollar-pegged stablecoin PYUSD. This move is seen as a continuation of YouTube’s ongoing partnership with PayPal, following earlier limited tests of stablecoin-based payments.

PayPal began offering stablecoin payout options to bulk-payment recipients such as freelancers in the third quarter of 2025. Expanding this option to YouTube creators significantly increases PYUSD’s potential reach and introduces a new payment alternative for the creator economy.

Launched in 2023, PYUSD has grown to a market capitalization of around $3.9 billion. With more than 2.7 billion monthly active users on YouTube, the integration is viewed as a key catalyst that could accelerate PYUSD adoption, especially as the global stablecoin market continues to gain momentum.
